How an event goes
Before the day.
Add your items and get an Event Pass for your dates.
On the day.
Open the counter and tap in sales. See your takings, and how close you are to covering your booth, as you go.
After.
Close the counter to see the day's summary, and download the sales as a spreadsheet.
Questions
Can I try it before I sign up?
Yes. Open the demo counter: Kak Siti's Kitchen at a bazaar, with the same screens you'd use at your stall. Nothing is saved, and the sample QR pays no one. No sign-up needed.
What is TaraBase Live?
A PayNow counter on your own phone or tablet, for bazaars and pop-ups. Tap in what your customer is buying, turn the screen round, and they scan a QR with the amount already in it.
Do I need a card reader or other equipment?
No. Use the phone or tablet you already have. A stand makes a busy day easier, but you don't need one.
What if the hall has no signal?
Open the counter where there's signal before you start. After that, sales keep going offline and send when the signal is back.
Which banking apps can pay?
Singapore banking apps read it, including DBS and POSB, OCBC, UOB, and Trust, which we've tested. The amount is in the QR, so your customer doesn't type it.
Does TaraBase confirm the payment?
No, you do. When your customer shows their bank screen, match the reference on it before you confirm the sale. TaraBase doesn't check counter payments for you.
Can I take cash too?
Yes. Press Cash received, and the sale is recorded with the rest. Every sale is recorded, PayNow or cash.
Can I see whether I've covered my booth?
Yes. Type your booth cost when you open the counter, and you'll see how close you are as you sell.
What do I get after the event?
Close the counter to see the day's summary. You can also download the day's sales as a spreadsheet.
Where does the money go?
Straight to your bank, by your PayNow. We never hold it, and we take no cut.
How do I pay for TaraBase Live?
Per event, with an Event Pass for the dates you trade. You don't pay for the days you don't trade.
Can I use Live and a home-business shop together?
Yes, as two separate shops. Live is set up on its own, with its own items, from the TaraBase Live page.
